On the basis of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, we have created this privacy policy to inform you about when and how the Manus Foundation (Data Controller) may process personal data concerning you as a user of the “Academic Job Fair” Portal (hereinafter referred to as the Portal) and what it is used for, as well as what rights you have in relation to it.

Processing of personal data in the Portal

  1. The Users’ personal data are processed in order to enable the use of the functionalities of the Portal. Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary to fully use the Portal (access to virtual employer stands, user profile, job, internship, and apprenticeship offers, the ability to browse the employer database and to use the chat and video chat services with employer representatives).
  2. The Administrator collects, stores, uses and discloses personal data for the following purposes:
    1. receive applications from companies and manage job, internship and apprenticeship offers in order to publish them on the Portal;
    2. create, for its own purposes, Portal statistics concerning, among others, the number of registered employers, users, the number of offers, internships, apprenticeships etc;
    3. enable direct communication between the employer and the user. Users registered in the Portal can search the database of employers, the database of job offers and contact via chat and video chat with representatives of employers;
    4. allowing direct communication between the user and career counselors of the Career Office for consultations in the field of career counseling during the Academic Job Fair;
    5. conducting analysis of employers’ offers and participants’ needs in order to adjust services.

The legal basis for processing your personal data as a user of the Portal is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council of the EU 2016/679 of 27.04.2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC.
  4. By registering to the database:
    1. you consent to the processing, including storage, of your personal data by the Administrator,
    2. you should read carefully the information clause, which contains information on the purposes and principles of personal data processing.
    3. you shall independently determine your login and password and undertake to protect these instruments from access by third parties.

Rights related to your personal data

  1. As a user of the Portal whose personal data is processed within the Portal, you have the right:
      1. access to your personal data,
      2. to rectify your personal data,
      3. to erase or restrict the processing of your personal data,
      4. to object to the processing,
      5. to data portability.
  2. You may request the exercise of your rights by sending a message using the mail to: fundacja@manus.pl. You can also correct your personal data or delete it yourself.
  3. If you do not want to use services of this Website any more, you can delete your account created in this Website using button “Delete account”. The data associated with the account will be deleted. If you withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal data also in another undoubted form (e.g. as to the authorship of this request) it will be equivalent to the lack of possibility to use the Portal, and the data will be deleted.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.

Storage and security

  1. The Administrator processes personal data in electronic and paper form, and has procedures in place for making backup copies. The Administrator applies measures and instruments necessary to protect personal data against unauthorized use, access, disclosure and change.
  2. The Administrator stores data collected in the system in electronic form on external servers located in the European Union, through entities that guarantee an adequate level of data security.
  3. Access to personal data is granted to employees of the Foundation, to whom such access is necessary within the scope of their function or to perform a task ordered by the Administrator. These persons are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the data.
  4. The personal data can also be accessed by entities to which the Administrator entrusts the processing of personal data in accordance with Article 28 of the RODO, i.e. entities that help the Administrator to conduct the Academic Job Fair.
  5. The data will not be used by the Administrator for automated decision-making or profiling.
  6. The data will not be transferred to third countries or international organizations.

Cookies

  1. Cookies (i.e. text files placed on your computer when you first visit a website) are processed on our academicjobfair website. Most web browsers recognize such processing and allow you to refuse or accept sharing of these files.
  2. Cookies are used primarily to enhance your online experience. If you visit our website to view or download information, such as employer information, brochures, and flyers, most of the information we collect is statistical in nature only (e.g., the domain from which you access the Internet, the date and time you access our website, and the address of the website from which you link directly to our website). We do not use the files to identify individuals using our sites. We use them to make our site more useful and attractive to you.

Links to third-party and entity websites

Our information system and website contain links to third-party websites that are not governed by our privacy policy or procedures. Links contained in job postings redirect to employers’ recruitment websites and systems. Applying directly to employers will require you to provide separate consent for the processing of personal data consistent with the policies of the employer in question.
